Interview on Tin Ujević
On the occasion of the panel discussion „Tin Ujević: The Mediterranean in the Heart, Europe in the Mind“, held on 4 March 2026, I recorded an interview at the Archaeological Museum in Split with the editor Ivana Divić. The programme was broadcast on 14 March 2026 on TV Jadran as part of the series “Veliki judi” (Great People).
The interview opened with a reflection on the thematic exhibition organised to mark the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom, held at the Archaeological Museum in Split. The focus was on Tin Ujević as a poet, thinker, and philosopher. Particular attention was devoted to Ujević’s European orientation, his Pan-European activity in Split, the state of a united Europe, and the geopolitical position of the Republic of Croatia.
The conversation also addressed the political and philosophical legacy of Ante Starčević, grounded in the principles of freedom and rights, as well as Europe’s mission within the global pentarchy, the state of contemporary education, and the challenges facing Europe and the world today.
